My Shameless Banter: Bloggerific? I think not.

And what does that word even mean anyway? Bloggerific? I have no earthly idea. But anyway, I'll just get on with it: I'm a sucky blogger. I should probably resign from the blog world altogether and take up, I don't know, knitting or something. Or underwater basketweaving. Or rock climbing. Of course, I'm terrified of heights so that might be a bad plan. So, I suppose I'll stick with keeping this thing updated, maybe a little more often than once every few months. I mean, you've all missed my big, smiling face, right?

See, how can you resist this?: (Please disregard the hot, wood-paneled walls, I was deployed, darnit) I also appear to have a really big head in the picture, which is a bit odd... I think I resemble one of those bobblehead dolls.

So, I had a point to this particular blog entry but it escapes me right now. It's always such a big surprise when I forget things.

I'm fairly good at throwing out random updates that have nothing do with one another so, here goes:

We finally got off our asses and, after some minor setbacks in the dealing-with-people-in-Sumter nonsense, hooked ourselves up with some new cell phones. I absolutely adore my new little piece of technology and am doing my best to keep it pretty and shiny (I mean, it's called the 'LG Shine'...)

I'm taking a class. Yuck. It turns out that I needed one more f#$%&ing science class before applying to grad school. I mean, I only got my degree in Sports & Health SCIENCES but I needed. another. science. class. Seriously. Ugh. So THAT makes me pretty happy.

I of course can't forget about our newest little family member, the devil himself, Freddy:

Okay, so he's not the devil, but he's a very close relative, I'm sure. :) Still love, love, love the little booger to death though.

What else? I've become quite the handyman around the house. Besides constructing some bookshelves and our patio table (all while keeping limbs and digits intact), I've been hanging pictures, unpacking gobs and gobs of boxes and even tried my hand at a little painting today. Go, me! We're slowly but surely making this fabulous new house our home and I have to say that I really do love this place (the house - Sumter is another story and blog entry in and of itself).

So, I'm not working (which is FINE with me); the plan is to concentrate on getting into grad school. I'm sure as the date nears for the big decision (whether I get in or not), I'll be a big bag of nerves and will likely bitch and whine and moan here. See what you have to look forward to?

Jeff left a few days ago for 2 weeks. :( He works with guys "over there", which is probably as much as I should put out there on a public blog. Anyway, he's somewhere in the vicinity of...

Yeah, I'm not so much thrilled with him, A-having to be gone and, B-having to be gone and over there. =/

I've totally been chick-flicking it though the past couple of nights. I definitely wouldn't have put Jeff through 'The Devil Wears Prada' - cute but he would rather have poked forks into his eyeballs. Now, '27 Dresses' on the other hand - total chick-flick but I think he would have dug it, at least a little. ;)
